We have been waiting for our good friend Sharon to arrive from British Columbia. She had been waiting for her new trailer from Lakota but because of snowy weather back east it was taking a little longer then planned. Friday afternoon she finally arrived with her nephew Sheldon. Only 20 feet behind her when she pulled in were 6 other rigs coming in. It was going to be a busy weekend here at Picket Post.
The day before Sharon arrived Ron and I hiked up towards the mountain. Here is a great shot of Picket Post.
This is a picture of camp before the other 15 rigs got here.
Camp once all 20 rigs were settled in.
Sharon's new rig.
Our first ride with Sharon and her nephew Sheldon was going to take us right around Picket Post mountain.
I let Sheldon ride Hunter and I of course rode Mary and lead the way.
Looking up at the trail ahead and Picket Post mountain.
There is a few parts of this trail that are a little ledgy.
Here is when you wish you had a high power camera lens.
Zoomed in with an iphone 5
This was a good sized herd of Arizona Mountain goats.
We did the whole mountain loop around Picket Post and up through Arnett Canyon
Alan ahead having a little nap LOL
You never get sick of the rock formations in this canyon.
Sheldon rode my horse "The Huntsman" and I rode my favourite mule.
Sharon and Sheldon coming down the canyon.
We took the shady side in the afternoon TG because it was hot!
Heading onto our new trail we made a month ago back to camp. We call this trail "The Canadian Trail".
Coming down off the "Canadian Trail".
Heading back to camp on the Arizona Trail.
Look Sheldon can text and ride. I wonder if he can do his cutting and still text?? That would be interesting to watch. LOL
The end of another good day out on the trail.
