My list of places we stayed at on our way to and from Arizona

These are the places we stayed going down. The first night we stayed in a rest area but if we had know about the Hart Ranch in Yakima we would have stayed there but it was late wet and cold so we putted into a rest area before Ellensburg Washington.

From Vegas we headed to the Burro Creek BLM Campsite it is just past Wickiup 60 miles from Wickenburg AZ on Hwy 93.

We stayed a few days there then headed to Wickenburg AZ we stayed out on the BLM lands for a week up in behind the Rodeo Grounds on
Constellation road. You can also camp right at the Rodeo Grounds in there campsite. The last 3 sites have double corrals for only $5 a night. Click here for MAP of the area

The second two weeks we moved to Sophie's Flat  were there is room for even he biggest rigs for dry camping.
The riding is great here. Well marked trails in every direction.

From Sophie's we moved to Cave Creek AZ and Spur Cross Ranch Park  it is day us only but we camped in the parking lot for 2 days. The Bronco Trail head can be used for over night camping

After leaving Spur Cross Ranch we headed to Apache Junction and the "Lost Dutchman State Park"  were the riding is fabulous. You can not camp in the park with your horses but there are a few places right by there you can camp. We have stayed at "Kings Stables"  in the past but there prices have gone up and you can't take stallion's there so we dry camped at "GOLDFIELD MINING GHOST TOWN" . They have a dozen or more corrals and if you had to you could put up your hot wire fencing Mayor Bob is very accommodating. The cost this year was $15 for your rig and $7 per horse a day.
We stayed here for over a month before heading back to Wickenburg AZ but this time we were going to camp at the BLM lands at "Vulture Peak"  here is a Map how to get there CLICK HERE FOR MAP
This was another great riding area with tons of trails all over. There is a ranch called

Rancho de los Caballeros they have may trails around the area.

Here is the BLM camp site with Vulture peak in the background

From here we headed home. The first day drive took us to Ely NV where we stayed at the

It was very cold in Ely NV you are at about 9000'

The next day on our way home we manage to make it to Boise
Under a beautiful full moon these are some of the pastures at
8699 S. Gantz Ave (exit 46 from hwy 84)
208-362-4345
MAP to get there

It was a wonderful place to stay with electric hook up and big shelters and pens.

Our last night we made it to Yakima Washington  and stayed at the Hart Ranch Roger & Sue Hart · 151 Ray Symmonds Rd · Selah, WA 98901 (509) 452-3184   or   (509) 952-8792 (cell)

We made it home safe and sound to the rain and wind.

Next year we will come home in July LOL
