The riding is great here. Well marked trails in every direction.
From Sophie's we moved to Cave Creek AZ and Spur Cross Ranch Park it is day us only but we camped in the parking lot for 2 days. The Bronco Trail head can be used for over night camping
After leaving Spur Cross Ranch we headed to Apache Junction and the "Lost Dutchman State Park" were the riding is fabulous. You can not camp in the park with your horses but there are a few places right by there you can camp. We have stayed at "Kings Stables" in the past but there prices have gone up and you can't take stallion's there so we dry camped at "GOLDFIELD MINING GHOST TOWN" . They have a dozen or more corrals and if you had to you could put up your hot wire fencing Mayor Bob is very accommodating. The cost this year was $15 for your rig and $7 per horse a day.CLICK HERE FOR MAP
This was another great riding area with tons of trails all over. There is a ranch called
Rancho de los Caballeros they have may trails around the area.
