PARIA RIVER RANCH SOUTHERN UTAH

A few years ago we stumbled across a ranch in Southern Utah called Paria Canyon Guest Ranch it was going to be a one night stay on our way home from Arizona in the spring of 2014.  It was a cool little ranch at the bottom of the Grand Staircase Escalante next to the Paria River.  We where only planning on staying one night because it was a little pricey to stay there then what we are use too and 2 we wanted to ride Bryce before we headed home to Canada. Well as you can tell if you go back to my April 2014 blogs we stayed almost a week. The riding here was like non other cool slot canyons and river rides to incredible views well worth the extra money to stay in such a cool area.  So this year on our way home from Arizona we decided to stay at Paria Ranch again on the way home. We showed up there in the middle of March and the place looked like it was closed. Well to our surprise they had just changed ownership new owners had just taken over the 1st of March and where just making some changes. The name had been changed to Paria River Ranch. The new owners had no idea what kind of trails they had in the back 40 so we took them out riding.....

We stayed for almost 2 weeks helping both Dell and Amy the new owners get some stuff done before the busy season. They are changing things a little around the ranch. Making more about riding and horse camping. They have some very good trail horses so if you can't bring your own horse down you can go out on one of their Trail riding adventures into one of these cool slot canyons.

    What a great find Copper Cloud Ranch is. I have spent many years camping with my horses and just loved the views here ranging from Moon scape to colored sandstone veins. I'll plan a trip there soon.
