We are still in Wickenburg camping on the BLM lands . Randy Diefert from Washington was giving me Dutch Oven cooking lesson's. On tonights menu was homemade scalloped potatoes, Smoked Turkey breast and for dessert Peach cobbler. "Yummmmy" |
We ended up having 10 for dinner. |
Forgot to take a picture of the cobbler but here is the dinner. |
And the sun sets "Just another day in Paradise". |
Wednesday morning at 8:00 am Randy did his "Cowboy Breakfast" in the dutch oven for everyone in camp. Then we all saddled and went for a ride. |
From Left to right Ron, Bob, Darrell, Peg , Randy and of course me and Hunter |
Darrell, Ron and Peg took the lead |
Randy taking up the rear |
We rode through the sand draw past "Sophie's Flat" |
On the way up the trail above the sand draw we saw a desert tortoise. They can live 80 to 100 years and do not sexual mature until about 18 to 20 years of age. This little guy was pretty young. |
This trail takes you above the sand draw with beautiful views of the valley |
The desert is just starting to bloom |
Once back at camp all our horses had a shower in our horse camp shower rack. |
Tonight we had an amazing sunset |
Another day in Paradise :) |
